Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide individual, group, or family therapy sessions utilizing a variety of evidence-based approaches.
- Monitor client progress regularly and adjust therapeutic strategies accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping skills.
- Maintain detailed, confidential documentation of sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with organizational policies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, social workers, and community resources to coordinate care.
- Support crisis intervention efforts when clients experience acute mental health episodes or emergencies.
Qualifications
- A master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid licensure or certification as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent credential as required by state law.
- Proven experience providing mental health counseling in clinical or community settings.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse populations.
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or other relevant approaches.
- Excellent communication skills for effective client engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration.
