Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Worker to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal components used in various construction, industrial, and commercial applications. Your expertise will ensure precision, safety, and quality in every project. Responsibilities
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately fabricate sheet metal components.
- Set up and calibrate machining tools and equipment for precise cuts, bends, and assemblies according to project requirements.
- Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure parts meet quality standards.
- Perform welding and assembly tasks to join fabricated parts securely while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by following safety standards in production and handling materials properly.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to verify measurements and ensure finished products meet specifications.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a sheet metal worker or in a similar manufacturing or fabrication role.
- Skilled in interpreting mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and shop math principles.
- Familiarity with safety standards related to machine operation, welding, measurement tools, and metal fabrication processes.
- Ability to operate hand tools and measuring instruments accurately for quality control purposes.
- Mechanical knowledge of tooling setup, machine operation, and fabrication techniques is essential for success in this role.
- Must possess a current Massachusetts Sheet Metal license
- Must possess a valid driver license and a good driving record
