Duties
- Greet guests promptly with enthusiasm and professionalism, creating a welcoming environment
- Manage restaurant reservation systems and seating charts efficiently to optimize table turnover
- Answer incoming phone calls with courteous phone etiquette, assisting with reservations and inquiries
- Coordinate guest seating based on preferences, party size, and server availability using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests
- Assist in maintaining food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness and proper handling of guest areas
- Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously during their visit
Skills
- Proven experience as a host/hostess or in food service roles with strong customer service skills
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management and table management systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with professional phone etiquette
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for managing reservations, waitlists, and billing procedures
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices
- Strong organizational skills to coordinate seating arrangements and manage guest flow effectively
