A Custodial Technician plays a vital role in a skilled nursing facility by maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment that supports the health and well-being of residents, staff, and visitors. Their work helps reduce the spread of infections, minimizes safety hazards, and ensures compliance with healthcare cleanliness standards. In This Role You Will:
- Thoroughly cleans resident spaces, bathing area, lounges, offices, hallways, dining area, recreational areas, public bathrooms, and other rooms as assigned.
- Mops floors, vacuums, spot cleans carpeted areas and empties trash.
- Dusts and/or washes furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
- Washes windows and sills.
- Cleans and sanitizes lavatories and toiles bowls inside and out.
- Performs written cleaning procedures and follows written cleaning schedules for common areas, outside areas and resident units.
- Keeps all equipment and storage areas clean and orderly.
- Transports linens and other supplies and equipment.
- Follows all written infection control procedures established by the community.
- Performs light maintenance responsibilities, as needed.
Shift Details:
- Fulltime Day shift 7:30a- 3:30p, every other weekend and some holidays
Who You Are:
- Must be able to acquire sufficient knowledge and learn new skills through on-the-job training and instructions to satisfactorily meet job performance
- At least two (2) years of prior professional cleaning experience, preferred
- A team player and have passion to the serve the elderly!
