Job Summary
We are actively seeking a highly skilled Robotics Engineer to join our innovative manufacturing team on a quick hire basis. This dynamic role involves designing, programming, and maintaining advanced robotic systems to optimize production processes. Duties
- Design, develop, and implement robotic systems utilizing industry-standard platforms such as Fanuc and other industrial robotic controls.
- Program and troubleshoot PLC systems, including ladder logic (LD), for seamless integration with robotics and automation equipment.
- Configure human-machine interface (HMI) systems to facilitate operator interaction and system monitoring.
- Conduct root cause analysis and resolve complex issues related to industrial electrical systems, controls, and robotics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize lean manufacturing processes while ensuring compliance with CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and blueprints for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on industrial equipment including vision inspection systems and distributed control systems.
- Develop detailed documentation using AutoCAD and SolidWorks for system layouts and tooling designs.
- Lead or support robot programming tasks involving robot programming languages such as RAPID or proprietary control languages.
- Conduct factory acceptance testing (FAT), commissioning, and validation activities to ensure system performance meets specifications.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis, process optimization, and implementation of best practices.
Skills
- Extensive experience with Fanuc robotic systems, industrial controls, PLC programming (including troubleshooting), and automation integration.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as ladder logic (LD), structured text, or other engineering programming languages relevant to automation.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with industrial networks, distributed control systems (DCS), and industrial electrical systems.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and CGMP compliance within a manufacturing environment.
- Skilled in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, vision inspection systems, tooling design, machining processes, and blueprint reading.
- Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting of complex industrial equipment issues.
- Experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role focused on robotics or automation projects.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration across engineering teams and operational staff.
