The Traffic Control Attendant is responsible for directing the safe and efficient flow of vehicle and pedestrian traffic throughout the cruise ship terminal. This role ensures guests, employees, vendors, and transportation services move through the terminal safely while maintaining excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is alert, dependable, and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Essential Duties Responsibilities:
Direct incoming and outgoing vehicle traffic throughout the cruise terminal.
Safely guide passengers, rideshare drivers, taxis, buses, shuttles, and commercial vehicles to designated loading and unloading areas.
Monitor pedestrian crossings and assist in maintaining a safe environment for passengers and staff.
Communicate with terminal personnel, security, and supervisors regarding traffic flow and operational needs.
Assist with traffic control during peak arrival and departure times.
Observe and report accidents, hazards, suspicious activity, or other incidents immediately.
Follow all safety procedures, terminal policies, and traffic control protocols.
Provide courteous directions and assistance to passengers and visitors when needed.
Maintain awareness of surroundings and respond quickly to changing traffic conditions.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
