Position Summary
Bianchi Winery is seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused Tasting Room Associate to join our hospitality team. As one of the first faces our guests encounter, you will play an essential role in creating an engaging, educational, and memorable tasting experience while representing the Bianchi brand with professionalism and pride.
Wine and Hospitality experience required.
This position primarily works Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with occasional weekday shifts and opportunities to assist with winery events.
Essential Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and provide exceptional hospitality throughout their visit.
- Conduct engaging, educational, and enjoyable wine tastings.
- Serve guests both inside the tasting room and on outdoor patios.
- Build lasting relationships with guests, Wine Club members, and VIP customers while providing personalized service.
- Promote wine sales, Wine Club memberships, food offerings, and winery events.
- Maintain attractive retail displays and assist with seasonal merchandising.
- Keep retail merchandise and wine inventory fully stocked and properly rotated.
- Process sales accurately while maintaining secure handling of credit card information.
- Ensure compliance with all laws regarding the sale of alcoholic beverages.
- Assist with Wine Club operations, including member communications, database updates, shipment preparation, and customer support.
- Support the planning, setup, and execution of winery events, private parties, and special hospitality functions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe tasting room environment inside and outside the facility.
- Communicate guest feedback, requests, and operational needs with the Tasting Room Manager.
- Represent Bianchi Winery positively within the local community and at promotional events as needed.
- Follow all company safety procedures and participate in maintaining a safe workplace.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support daily tasting room operations.
Qualifications
- Previous hospitality, restaurant, tasting room, or retail customer service experience preferred.
- Wine knowledge or an interest in learning about wine is a plus.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Friendly, outgoing personality with a professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Comfortable learning point-of-sale systems and Wine Club software.
- Food handling experience is a plus.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with hospitality, event setup, stocking, and cleaning.
Schedule
- Part-time (15–30 hours per week) to start. A full-time position may be available to the right applicant in time.
- Primarily Thurs – Monday (Restaurant hours)
- Occasional shift coverage as needed
- Evening, holiday, and special event availability required
- Opportunity to work winery events at an increased hourly rate
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation:
- $18.00–$19.00 per hour (DOE)
