Seeking a Financial Analyst for our client in NE Philadelphia with a well-established company.
Position Overview
The Financial Analyst plays a key role in improving profitability through gross margin analysis, pricing optimization, freight cost management, and vendor rebate performance. This position partners closely with Sales, Purchasing, Operations, and Branch Leadership to deliver actionable financial insights that support strategic decision-making and drive business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze gross margin performance by branch, customer, product, vendor, and salesperson to identify profitability opportunities.
- Evaluate pricing strategies and develop financial models to support pricing decisions.
- Monitor customer and product profitability, identifying margin improvement opportunities.
- Analyze inbound and outbound freight costs and partner with Operations to improve transportation efficiency.
- Track vendor rebate programs, monitor attainment, and collaborate with Purchasing to maximize rebate income.
- Support monthly financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting activities.
- Develop dashboards and management reports to provide meaningful business insights.
- Present financial analysis and recommendations to Finance and Operational leadership.
- Drive continuous improvements in reporting, analytics, and financial processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, Distribution Finance, Pricing, or Supply Chain Finance.
- Strong financial modeling and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with Power BI, SQL, ERP systems, and business intelligence tools is preferred.
The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
