Big Basin Cafe is a small, family-owned coffee shop in the heart of Saratoga's Old Village specializing in organic coffee & making artisanal espresso drinks to go with our wide selection of breakfasts, sandwiches, salads, and desserts.
Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic & friendly coffee-aficionado to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a team player and a quick learner, able to adapt to a fast-paced environment. Being a small operation, all team members will be trained at each station, which include: register, food prep/kitchen, coffee & barista, opening/closing, cleaning and as floaters.
Requirements:
- Minimum education HS diploma
- Must be customer-oriented, motivated, excellent team player, take initiative
- Must have reliable transportation
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Work experience with food preferred but not required
- Coffee knowledge is a plus but not required
Shift availability:
- Must be available for at least one 4-6 hour weekday shift (Morning, Mid-Day, Evening)
- Must be available for at least one 4-6 hour weekend shift (Morning, Mid-Day, Evening)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
