Overview
We are seeking a responsible and dedicated person to join our team with Xactimate experience. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in estimating as well as restoring properties affected by water, fire, smoke and mold damage. We work in commercial and residential spaces including confined areas at times like attics and crawlspaces. This position requires a good understanding of construction processes and building codes with attention to detail and the ability to effectively talk with customers and clients.
Duties
- Field operations: demolition, mold/water/fire clean-up and drywall, flooring, and trim installation.
- Prepare and manage work site, ensuring processes and policies are in place.
- Work with clients, insurance professionals and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with the team to develop detailed restoration plans and timelines.
- Utilize estimating program for cost accuracy, project management and documentation.
- Assess and evaluate damage to properties, determining the necessary restoration procedures.
- Control costs by monitoring project expenses and implementing cost-effective solutions.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues throughout the restoration process.
Experience
- Experience in restoration and finish carpentry.
- Experience working on various construction projects, understanding the dynamics of various trades involved.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on client interaction.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Basic to expert Xactimate estimating experience.
