As a Pharmacy Technician, you’ll be part of building this program from the ground up, supporting clinical workflows, patient access, and specialty pharmacy operations from day one. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality, patient-centered specialty care and helping launch this new service line for the community.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct patient care through medication therapy evaluations, consultations, chart review, and ongoing therapy assessments
- Collaborate with prescribers to optimize treatment plans using evidence-based guidelines and patient-specific needs
- Educate patients on medication use, side effects, adherence strategies, and lifestyle modifications
- Ensure safe, coordinated care by performing medication reconciliation, monitoring adherence, and identifying interactions or adverse reactions
- Support medication access by managing prior authorizations, appeals, financial assistance, and care coordination
Ideal Background:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Active Pharmacy Technician license/registration in the state of Louisiana. CPhT preferred but not required.
- 1+ year of pharmacy technician experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing medications; Excellent organizational, time-management, communication, and teamwork skills; Familiarity with pharmacy software and prescription processing systems; Customer-service oriented with a compassionate, professional demeanor.
