Duties
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical repairs, HVAC system servicing, and mechanical troubleshooting to ensure optimal building operations.
- Assist with the repair and maintenance of electrical equipment using schematics and tools such as ohmmeters.
- Conduct welding and residential painting projects as needed to maintain facility aesthetics and safety standards.
- Support the upkeep of manufacturing or facilities environments by managing maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) activities.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and manuals to diagnose issues accurately.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track repairs, and schedule preventive maintenance.
- Supervise or assist with plumbing system maintenance, HVAC repairs, and electrical equipment troubleshooting to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to lead small projects or supervise other maintenance staff when required.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during maintenance activities to prevent accidents or hazards.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC repair, and general building maintenance.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams for troubleshooting complex systems.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical equipment repair, welding techniques, and residential painting.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and maintenance tracking.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance standards within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Ability to operate testing tools such as ohmmeters and other electrical diagnostic equipment confidently.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English across diverse teams.
- Supervising experience is a plus—demonstrating leadership in coordinating tasks and guiding junior staff effectively.
- Basic understanding of MRO supplies management to ensure timely procurement of parts and tools needed for repairs.
