Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist/Assistant to join our team at our clinic in Davie and/0r Miami Lakes, specializing in pediatrics. This role is essential in helping students overcome speech and language challenges, ensuring they can effectively communicate and succeed academically.
Duties
- Implement speech therapy sessions focusing on improving articulation, fluency, voice, and language skills.
- Collaborate with other team members
- Provide early intervention services to children with speech and language delays.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and therapy outcomes.
- Educate families on strategies to support their child's communication development at home.
- Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in speech therapy.
Skills
- Experience working with children in a clinic setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to speech-language pathology.
- Proficiency in understanding physiology and anatomy as it relates to speech production.
- Familiarity with early intervention techniques for young children.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with students, families, and educational staff.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students achieve their communication goals.
