Duties
- Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher or develop your own engaging activities aligned with curriculum standards
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe and respectful learning environment
- Support students’ individual needs through differentiated instruction and personalized attention
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging participation and curiosity
- Maintain classroom organization, including attendance records, student work, and instructional materials
- Communicate regularly with school staff about student progress and any behavioral or academic concerns
- Assist with classroom routines such as transitions, lunch, recess, and other daily activities
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational settings such as preschool, childcare, or tutoring roles
- Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional strategies across subjects like literacy education and math
- Familiarity with early childhood development principles and classroom management techniques
- Experience working with students with autism or special education needs is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and students
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and teaching styles
- Private school experience or Montessori background is a plus but not required
