The Valuation Team Analyst is responsible for interacting with clients on merger valuations. This analyst must have knowledge of mergers and acquisitions, balance sheets and off-balance sheet metrics. Additional actions include analyzing business metrics, investigating off-balance sheet items and researching public and competitor information relevant to the target entity.
Daily activities will include, but are not limited to:
- Performing complex financial modeling and other analyses to provide valuations to our clients.
- Preparing and presenting analytical valuations to be used by a client’s management team.
- Analyzing internal business metrics (current product mix, market share, distribution channels, pricing strategy, and other competitive factors) to assist strategic decision-making.
- Research public industry and competitor information relevant to the target company.
- Investigating off-balance sheet items and related party transactions.
- Analyzing the quality of earnings and non-recurring items.
- Contributing to the report-writing process.
- Developing, maintaining, and continuously improving models used by the Valuation Team.
The position requires detailed communication skills and attention to detail. Communication will take place with external clients, internal client advisors, and external third parties. Multi-tasking ability and attention to detail are key traits to be successful in this position. There will be a constant focus on work quality and accuracy.

The ideal candidate has ~2 years of entry-level banking or accounting experience. Highly personable with the ability to carry a conversation without an agenda or directive.
The Analyst – Valuations Team will report to the Senior Advisor.
