Overview
Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher, where your role is vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. This position offers the opportunity to support food service operations by ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are sanitized and ready for use. This position is an integral part of the kitchen that makes sure our operation continues to run smoothly!
The schedule would be Thursday and Friday mornings 7:00am-3:00pm or 6:00am-2:00pm.
There are also opportunities to add on a few extra hours during the week with Monday and Tuesday evening shifts from 3:00pm-8:00pm.
Duties
- Operate commercial dishwashing machine to thoroughly clean dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Manually handle and organize dishes and cookware, ensuring proper stacking and storage after cleaning.
- Follow strict food safety management protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure cleanliness standards are met.
- Support food preparation by handling basic kitchen cleaning tasks and maintaining a hygienic workspace.
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary to transport supplies, dishes, or equipment safely within the kitchen or storage areas.
Experience
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly preferred, especially in fast-paced environments involving food handling or catering.
- Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and proper dishwashing techniques is a plus.
- Basic knife skills and understanding of food safety management contribute to effective performance in this role.
- Experience with manual handling, heavy lifting, and cleaning tasks ensures efficiency and safety during daily duties.
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, including food service or culinary experience, enhances your ability to support the team effectively.
