Bowl Chopper Operator
Location: Mitty’s Foods – Hot Dog Production Facility
Position Overview
This role is critical in preparing high-quality meat mixtures by operating the bowl chopper, ensuring proper seasoning measurements, and maintaining smooth communication with upstream and downstream team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate bowl chopper: Load beef and pork into the chopper, add water and seasonings, and monitor mixing cycles.
- Measure and add seasonings: Accurately weigh and dispense seasonings for each batch according to production specifications.
- Batch preparation: Ensure consistency and quality of meat mixtures by following established recipes and procedures.
- Communication: Coordinate with the linker operator upstream to align production flow and update the production manager downstream on batch progress and product runs.
- Quality control: Monitor product texture, temperature, and appearance to meet company standards.
- Safety and sanitation: Follow all food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety protocols to maintain a clean and compliant work environment.
- Documentation: Record batch details, seasoning usage, and production notes for traceability and reporting.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience in food production or meat processing preferred.
- Technical skills: Ability to operate industrial mixing equipment and follow precise recipes.
- Attention to detail: Strong focus on accuracy in measuring ingredients and monitoring product quality.
- Communication skills: Clear and effective communication with team members and supervisors.
- Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $16.94 - $21.00 per hour
