Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and safety
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Process cash transactions accurately and handle credit card payments efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food handling, bussing tables, setting up dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed
- Build rapport with guests through excellent customer service and guest relations skills
Qualifications
- Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Experience with beverage service including spirits, wine knowledge, cocktail preparation, and drink presentation
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices in the food industry
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude and guest-focused approach
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment within a fast-paced setting
