We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work and experience with solar panel installation. This role involves working on rooftops and in various weather conditions, ensuring that solar systems are installed efficiently and safely. The Solar Installer will collaborate with other team members to deliver high-quality installations that meet industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Install solar panels on residential and commercial rooftops according to specifications and safety guidelines.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine installation requirements.
- Work with both high voltage and low voltage electrical systems, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for installation tasks.
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate the best installation practices.
- Collaborate with electricians to ensure proper electrical connections are made.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the installation process.
Skills
- Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics related to solar installations.
- Experience working with high voltage systems, as well as low voltage wiring.
- Strong skills in using power tools safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of roofing techniques and ability to work at heights safely.
- Familiarity with plumb techniques for proper alignment of solar panels.
- Previous experience as a commercial electrician is a plus, enhancing understanding of electrical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
