Tonantzin Casa de Café, LLC is a small coffee shop located in the Santa Fe Art District in Denver, CO. We are customer-centric, fast paced and celebrate Indigenous and Latin American culture.
Tonantzin Casa de Café, LLC is looking for a Barista to work as a team to deliver an immersive Indigenous Latin American coffee shop experience. Team members prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee and tea. Barista also prepare and serve food. Duties also include educating customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders. To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills, work well in a team and be a quick and creative problem solver. Ultimately, you be helping guests feel at home so that they feel like they are enjoying a cafecito at their tia or abuela's kitchen table.

Duties/Responsibilities
Prepare/ serve hot/cold beverages, including various types of coffee and tea.
- Ensure that our drinks are prepared properly every time.
- Recommend special items to complement the beverages. (e.g. sandwiches, soups)
- Take orders using an automated system (e.g.POS) accurately and efficiently.
- Stock inventory appropriately.
- Clean up properly at the end of the shift.
- Food and Drink Prep
- Stock, maintain and repair equipment, including espresso machines, coffee machines, food equipment, etc.
- Keep the bar area clean, neat and organized at all times.
- Take care of all bar tools, which includes but is not limited to: cleaning equipment (e.g. mops), wiping equipment (e.g. soaps), sanitizer use etc..
- Maintain cleanliness around the bar by keeping about cleanliness per station or area throughout the day.
- Check on equipment periodically to ensure functionality and safety .
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.81 - $23.00 per hour
