Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Sewing Operator to join our production team. The operator will operate and maintain industrial sewing machines to join, reinforce, and repair materials. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to meet production goals efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Set, adjust, and test sewing machines for proper functionality before starting projects.
- Follow production orders and sewing instructions to complete projects accurately.
- Sew missing stitches or replacement parts according to repair guidelines.
- Ensure finished products meet design, quality, and merchandising standards.
- Reload machines with materials and manage workflow efficiently.
- Sort, fold, and stack materials as needed.
- Meet hourly and daily production targets.
- Identify and address issues impacting quality, including preventive maintenance and reporting defective materials or equipment.
- Use personal protective equipment and follow all safety protocols.
- Participate in cross-training to support operational effectiveness.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing shop environment with exposure to hot/cold temperatures, dust, odors, and fumes.
- Moderate to loud noise levels.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift 10–50 lbs.
- Sit for extended periods while performing detailed, repetitive tasks requiring hand-eye coordination and close vision.
- Occasionally stand, walk, reach, climb, bend, kneel, or balance.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to read instructions and follow guidelines accurately.
Pay: $14.00 per hour
