Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist with menu planning and ingredient preparation to ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards throughout all food handling processes
- Use knife skills and culinary techniques to prepare ingredients for various dishes
- Support food service operations by plating dishes promptly and accurately for service staff or guests
- Handle food with care, ensuring quality control from prep to presentation
Experience
- Previous kitchen experience in a restaurant or food industry setting is highly preferred
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Experience in fine dining environments demonstrates attention to detail and high standards
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly is essential
- Strong understanding of food safety practices, including proper handling and storage of ingredients
- Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining quality standards
- Skills in menu planning, food presentation, and catering support are advantageous
