Job Summary
The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in inpatient and residential settings, practicing with a high level of autonomy under a collaborative practice agreement. This role is ideal for a skilled clinician who thrives in complex environments and is confident in making advanced clinical decisions. The APRN provides comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for individuals and families, addressing both acute and ongoing health needs while promoting wellness, preventing injury, and ensuring patient comfort. Working within all applicable state, federal, and professional standards, this position plays a critical role in delivering exceptional, evidence-based care to those served.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing
Licensure/Certification: Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required. Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of MO, Board certified and Board eligible
Experience: Primary care background with the ability to give routine preventative care, evaluate and treat acute medical issues in all ranges seen in Camber facilities
Preferred Experience/Skills: Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as Outlook email.
Key Responsibilities

Identifies the physical, social and emotional health needs of individuals and families through systematic assessment, utilization of professional skills, health history, physical evaluations and lab or other diagnostic tools

Develops and implements a comprehensive plan of care that includes interventions and treatments to attain expected outcomes

Utilizes appropriate or specialized knowledge and skills in the provision of direct patient care

Documents services provided to the patient in the medical record in accordance with state and joint commission requirements

Collaborates with the health team members to establish priorities, manage care and coordinate efforts to achieve desired outcomes in providing planned services to the client

Utilizes complex strategies, interventions and teaching to promote, maintain, and improve health and prevent injury

Serves as a leader and role model for professional development of peers and others

Develops and implements a plan of continued professional growth and development

Committed to maintaining a healthy and safe work environment

Works under broad goals and policies under general direction of the appointing authority and the supervising doctor

Makes referrals to other specialties as needed

Provide on call medical coverage, depending on site
Additional duties may be assigned based on organizational needs and staff qualifications.
Physical & Work Environment
The conditions described are representative of those required to perform this role, with reasonable accommodations available. This position involves regular standing, walking, and communication, with frequent use of hands and occasional bending, kneeling, or climbing. The role may require lifting up to 10 pounds regularly, 25 pounds frequently, and 75 pounds occasionally. Standard visual abilities are required. Work is performed in a moderate noise environment with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions.
