American Vinegar Works, an award-winning producer of small-batch vinegars featured in the New York Times and Vogue, is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Operations Assistant to join our team in Worcester. If you're passionate about craft food and thrive in a hands-on environment, we want to hear from you.
This part-time role is 5 days a week at 4 hours per day in the mornings. We offer a great working environment for those interested in craft food and traditional production methods.
We are a small craft producer and, as such, are looking for an individual that is comfortable and eager to do a variety of changing operational tasks. We are looking for candidates who take pride in their work and are proactive in identifying what needs to get done. The right candidate will have a great attitude and be a positive addition to our small team of craft vinegar makers.
Responsibilities Include:
· Bottle, package and label our handcrafted vinegars.
· Support vinegar operations and facility maintenance in general.
· Process and ship e-commerce orders efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Ability to adhere to strict food safety regulations.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to various operational tasks.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 40 lbs, and standing, stooping, and climbing stairs.
- Comfort working in an environment with varying temperatures and the presence of alcohol.
- Preference for those with food manufacturing, bottling, brewing, or commercial kitchen experience but open to training the right candidate
We are a food manufacturing facility and require adherence to food safety and allergy prevention rules. This role reports to our Director of Operations.
Starting at 20 hours per week at $21 per hour.
