What You'll Do
As an Automotive Technician, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles while ensuring every repair meets CarShop's high standards for quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities include:
- Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, and air conditioning systems
- Perform work outlined on repair orders efficiently and accurately
- Complete troubleshooting, inspections, and diagnostic testing
- Provide labor estimates and repair recommendations
- Communicate findings clearly with service advisors and management
- Propose practical and cost-effective solutions to vehicle and process-related issues
- Ensure repairs are completed correctly the first time
- Road test vehicles when necessary to verify repair quality
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Stay current with evolving automotive technology and repair procedures
What We're Looking For
- 2-5 years of Automotive Technician experience required
- ASE Certification preferred
- State Inspection and Emissions License preferred
- Strong diagnostic and repair abilities
- Experience using diagnostic equipment, alignment systems, tire equipment, and A/C service equipment
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding production goals
- Reliable, dependable, and self-motivated
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Team-oriented, flexible, and focused on delivering a high level of customer service
- Positive attitude and commitment to quality workmanship
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and stay up to date with rapidly changing automotive technology
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including background and drug testing
