Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, or organizing ingredients when needed
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and ensuring dining areas are tidy and welcoming
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly to support daily operations
- Handle manual tasks including heavy lifting of supplies and moving dishware or equipment around the kitchen
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness throughout the kitchen area in compliance with health and safety standards
- Contribute to overall kitchen organization by managing dishware inventory and ensuring proper storage practices
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; a strong willingness to learn is valued
- Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation procedures is advantageous
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with operating basic kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and cleaning tools
