The Landscape Maintenance Crew Lead is a supporting leadership role responsible for assisting with daily crew operations, training, and quality control. While the Crew Leader provides overall direction and accountability for the crew, the Crew Lead will be expected to take charge of the crew when assigned, during the Crew Leader’s absence, or when additional leadership is needed.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Crew Leader and Property Manager with leading, training, and developing crew members. Provide direction to crew members on daily tasks and ensure work is completed safely and to company quality standards when assigned leadership responsibilities.
- Assign and oversee daily landscape maintenance tasks
- Ensure safety and quality standards are met or exceeded on every job site
- Drive company vehicles and transport crew members
- Communicate regularly with management regarding crew performance and site updates
- Maintain a “Safety First, Quality Second” culture
- Monitor labor budgets and production schedules
- Apply proactive landscape maintenance and horticultural practices
Operate and oversee the use of landscaping equipment including:
- Mowers (walk-behind, stand-on, and push)
- Trimmers, blowers, edgers, hedge trimmers
- Other standard landscape maintenance equipment
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of professional landscaping maintenance experience, including supervisory or crew leadership responsibilities
- Proficiency operating commercial landscaping equipment
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid Unrestricted North Carolina Driver’s License required
- Acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) screening as part of the hiring process
- Applicants must meet insurance eligibility requirements because operating company vehicles is part of the position.
Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
