Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Reach Truck Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team for first shift. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating reach trucks and other heavy equipment to efficiently handle materials, manage inventory, and support warehouse distribution operations. You must be open to assist with General Labor.
Duties
- Operate reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks to load and unload materials with precision and safety.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately using warehouse management systems and order picker equipment.
- Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock counts and updating records in the warehouse management system.
- Support shipping and receiving activities by ensuring proper documentation and adherence to OSHA safety regulations.
- Perform routine equipment inspections, basic repairs, and mechanical troubleshooting to maintain operational readiness.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage solutions and improve materials handling processes.
- Handle heavy lifting tasks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols for heavy equipment operation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency throughout the warehouse.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating reach trucks, forklifts, lift trucks, or similar heavy equipment within a warehouse setting.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and order picking procedures.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation and materials handling.
- Mechanical aptitude with basic repair skills for equipment maintenance.
- Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes including shipping & receiving.
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
