What You’ll Do

Oversee all daily operations of the meat department, including cutting, trimming, and preparing meats for sale

Ensure product quality, freshness, and food safety compliance
-
Manage inventory levels, product ordering, stock rotation, and waste reduction
-
Lead, supervise, train, and develop meat department team members
-
Maintain attractive, organized, and fully stocked meat displays
-
Monitor department sales, analyze trends, and implement strategies to improve profitability

Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with meat selections and recommendations
-
Collaborate with store leadership on pricing, promotions, and merchandising initiatives
-
Maintain equipment and ensure proper sanitation and safety standards

Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies
What We’re Looking For
-
Previous meat department, butcher shop, grocery, or food service management experience preferred
-
Extensive knowledge of meat cutting techniques, product handling, and food safety regulations

Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills

Experience with inventory management, ordering, vendor coordination, and waste control

Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities

Basic computer and inventory system knowledge preferred

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Food Handler Permit required (or ability to obtain within 30 days)

Flexible full-time availability (days, evenings, weekends, holidays)
