We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Houseman to join our hospitality team. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the property.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following proper procedures outlined in Safety Data Sheets (SDS), ensuring safe usage during cleaning tasks.
- Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks such as moving furniture, trash removal, supplies, or equipment to support housekeeping operations.
- Conduct floor care activities including stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning to preserve the property's appearance.
- Support hotel housekeeping management by organizing supplies, restocking amenities, and maintaining cleanliness in guest areas and back-of-house spaces.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently to ensure safety during incidents or hazardous situations.
- Use janitorial equipment and industrial cleaning tools effectively while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven custodial or janitorial experience with a strong understanding of industrial cleaning techniques.
- Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management practices and hospitality industry standards.
- Familiarity with chemical agent handling and safety data sheets (SDS) for various cleaning products.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as required by the role.
- Experience with floor care including waxing, buffing, and carpet maintenance is preferred.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and emergency procedures within a hotel environment.
- Previous hotel experience or hospitality background is highly desirable.
