American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a busy 38-bed medicine unit, requiring telemetry experience and rotating shifts including every other weekend.

38-bed inpatient medicine unit in a hospital setting
-
Patient population includes cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, substance abuse, and medical diagnoses with underlying psychiatric disorders

RN-to-patient ratio is 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights and weekends; PCT-to-patient ratio is 1:10

Rotating 7A/7P schedule (12-hour shifts)

36 hours per week

Every other weekend required

Holiday coverage required every other holiday and as needed

No on-call responsibilities

Active RN license in Maryland (MD) or a Compact RN license currently in hand

Experience in a telemetry Med/Surg unit required

Strong IV skills required

Experience in a comparable-sized facility (500+ bed count) preferred for large academic medical center placements

SSN and DOB required for consideration

One professional reference required for consideration

13-week contract
