About Us
For Children Only Day School has cared for the children of our community since 1976. We are a family-owned and family-operated school, now in our third generation of ownership, and that heritage shapes everything we do. Families don’t just enroll with us — they become part of ours.
Our promise is simple: a place that feels like home. Children are loved, families are known by name, and staff are supported like the professionals and people they are. Our League City location carries that same standard every single day, and we’re looking for a Center Director who will protect and grow it.
About the Opportunity
We are conducting a search for an experienced, steady, and highly organized Center Director to lead our League City school. This role is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the center — including staff management, licensing compliance, parent communication, enrollment, classroom quality, and overall operations.
The right person is a visible, professional leader who treats children, families, and staff with love, dignity, and respect while holding the school to high operational standards. This position calls for someone who can balance warmth with accountability, move quickly when issues arise, and keep the school organized, compliant, and welcoming — the way a family business should feel.

- Address performance issues promptly and professionally, escalating to ownership and regional leadership when needed.
Licensing, Compliance & Records
- Maintain licensing readiness at all times — including child files, staff files, immunization records, training records, safety drills, required postings, incident documentation, and ratio compliance.
- Prepare for and participate in inspections, audits, and corrective-action follow-up.
- Support our Texas Rising Star (TRS) certification and the quality standards that come with it.
- Ensure child attendance, CACFP food-program records, classroom documentation, and required forms are accurate and up to date.
- Stay current on childcare regulations, trends, and best practices through training, workshops, and professional development.
Family Communication & Enrollment
- Provide a warm, professional first impression for prospective and current families.
- Conduct tours, answer enrollment questions, process enrollment applications, and support family onboarding.
- Communicate clearly with parents regarding concerns, incidents, conferences, billing questions, classroom matters, and school updates.
- Handle parent concerns with professionalism, good judgment, and a focus on retention.
- Be present and prepared for parent meetings and conferences when needed.
Business & Administrative Support
- Support tuition collection, deposits, billing follow-up, and related administrative processes.
- Review attendance, classroom counts, food counts, menus, portions, and required operational data.
- Order supplies and equipment with appropriate approval.
- Coordinate maintenance needs, facility upkeep, vendors, and school equipment needs.
- Maintain a polished, professional image for the school in all interactions.
- Participate in school events, community and public-relations opportunities, and activities that support the school’s reputation.
