The Charleston Wesley Foundation (CWF) is looking to hire a Worship Leader who will work closely with our student composed Praise Team in order to lead CWF in weekly worship on Monday nights as well as help coordinate other worshipful experiences for college students. Worship Leader Job Description
Hours: Part Time (15 hours per week)
Start Date: ASAP
Compensation: $8,000 Salary (Paid on the last business day of the month.)
Requirements: Committed Christian, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, experience with musical performance, Monday night availability, ability to play piano and/or guitar
Preferences: Familiarity with UMC Hymnal, Sunday morning availability

Reports to: CWF Director; otherwise direct concerns to CWF board chair if necessary
Duties:
- Monday Night Worship–40%
- Coordinate Monday Night Worship throughout School Year (End of August–End of April)
- Develop Worship Service slides for Monday Night Worship
- Coordinate guest musicians
- Sunday Morning Worship–20%
- Facilitate Praise Team visiting local churches to lead Sunday worship services
- Coordinate with local churches
- Schedule visiting services
- Praise Team Management–20%
- Vision recruitment opportunities
- Schedule Praise Team Planning Meetings once a month (one of which is purely fellowship)
- Monitor and maintain Praise Team equipment
- Other Worship Opportunities–20%
- Coordinate Retreat Worship plans including logistics of equipment
- Coordinate all other worship opportunities that arise
- Create and maintain Wesley Spotify Playlist
Important Note on Scheduling/School Year Rhythm:
- Due to the nature of campus ministry and the reality that some Staff members are students, semester schedules change. Because of this, we cannot determine when Staff meetings, Praise Team Planning Meetings, Retreats, and special events are scheduled until the whole Staff is hired. The Director will work diligently to provide all dates as soon as they are able. Furthermore, because of campus rhythms, the Summer Semester (May-mid August) is dedicated to preparatory and planning work. There are no Monday Night Worships during the Summer Semester. If enough Praise Team members are present in Charleston over the Summer Semester, monthly Planning Meetings and Sunday Services may occur.
