Job Title: CNC Programmer, Machinist, Set up Operator

Programs, sets up and operates Haas CNC lathe with live tooling and Haas VF6 Vertical Mill equipment to produce metallic (Stainless Steel predominately-no carbon) and non-metallic (Delin & Polypropylene) work pieces. Other duties would include: Program machines by analyzing part drawings for best possible machining method and sequence approach. Create part files and transfer programmed machine instructions to the database using Master Cam.
· We are a small in-house dedicated in-house machine ship fabricating custom parts to support our customers’ fabricated equipment
· Customers are pharmaceutical, aerospace and high-tech companies.
· Assemble cutting tools in tool holders, load assembled tool holders into the Automatic Tool Changer or Lathe turret. Use tool eye or touch off method to locate tool positioning in the Lathe or Mill machining centers.
· Preform quality control checks after programming operations have been performed. A first article inspection of the machined metallic or non-metallic work piece using calibrated hand tools is required.
· Follow prescribed safety regulations as set forth by the employee hand book safety standards and OSHA and Cal- OSHA.
· Preform daily, weekly, monthly equipment maintenance as prescribed in the equipment operations manual using suggested intervals using outside vendors.
· Work overtime and additional hours when advised by the supervisor.
· Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Lifting / Carrying – occasional up to 50lbs.
· Equipment used and or required – Standard shop tools utilized, besides the machines themselves, including but not limited to: screw drivers, hammers, wrenches, and hand held precision measuring tools.
Minimum Education – High School Graduate or GED, Vocational course completion in CNC machining / programming.
Minimum Experience – 5-10 years hands on documented work history in CNC programming machine tool centers (Lathes, Mills) in a machining work center. .
Knowledge, Skill, Abilities – CNC machine operator and programmer must possess the ability to read detailed mechanical blueprints. Must be able to use and be familiar with shop tools and preform simple shop math. CNC operators have to be able to set up and operate at least two different machine controls types. Able to apply common sense, carry out written / oral instructions and deal with daily challenges effectively. General computer skills, including Microsoft office, Master Cam, Solid works. Able to relate and work within a team environment with diverse personalities. Individual will treat all staff with dignity and respect.

Salary range- $25-$40hr. Depending on experience
