Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The job position schedule entails evening and weekend work. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and the ability to provide a safe and nurturing environment for pets. As a Kennel Technician, you will be responsible for the daily care of animals in our facility, ensuring their health and well-being while maintaining cleanliness and organization.
Responsibilities
- Provide nightly care for animals, including feeding, medications, and exercising.
- Monitor the health and behavior of pets, reporting any concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Assist with dog socialization activities.
- Handle animals safely and effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of animal care activities.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure high standards of animal welfare.
Qualifications
- Experience in animal handling or pet care is preferred.
- Previous experience as a veterinary technician, veterinary assistant, or in a kennel environment is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Compassionate attitude towards animals with a commitment to their well-being.
- Ability to lift and move animals safely as needed.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
