The Schedule:
- School Year: Mon–Thu, 11:30 AM – 7:30 PM
- Fridays & School Breaks: 8-hour shifts between 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM (shifts vary)
- Weekends: Regular monthly weekend shifts are required to facilitate outdoor family events.
About the Role:
Be the driving force behind our brand-new pilot program, "Disconnect to Reconnect," across four of our adolescent-serving Clubhouses! Funded by a dedicated two-year grant, the Family Navigator builds deep, trust-based relationships with our incredible middle and high school members and their families. You will serve as their primary champion—connecting them to Pueblo’s local resources (like food banks and mental health services) and hosting vibrant, interactive weeknight Family Nights.
What You’ll Do:
- Connect Families: Serve as a highly visible, welcoming resource to help parents navigate local support systems.
- Lead Family Nights: Facilitate structured, high-energy 90-minute evening sessions focused on positive parenting, digital-age safety, and AI literacy.
- Promote Nature & Adventure: Partner with our Outdoor Equity team to co-plan and host fun, monthly family nature outings.
- Drive the Mission: Safely transport youth and families to events utilizing company minibuses and 15-passenger vans.
What We’re Looking For:
- Requirements: Must be 21 or older (due to van/bus driving requirements) with a valid driver’s license and clean record.
- Experience: Background working with families, parents, and teenagers in a community or non-profit setting.
- Education: Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Education, or Psychology preferred (exceptional real-world experience will be considered in lieu of a degree).
- Skills: High emotional intelligence, cultural responsiveness, and strong organizational skills. Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish) is highly desirable!
- Screening: Ability to pass initial/random drug testing, state background checks, and fingerprinting.
