STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS
Interested individuals MUST submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) with their application. Resumes, letters, and other materials do not take the place of the SOQ. The SOQ should have a title of “Statement of Qualifications, Your Name,” be no more than 2 pages, no smaller than 12-point font, and address the following:
The SOQ is a narrative discussion (not a bulleted summary) prepared by the applicant describing how your skills, knowledge, abilities, education, training, and experience qualify you for the position.
When completing the SOQ, please include all relevant experience, education, and training for each bulleted item and explain your answers thoroughly.
• Describe your experience with California Statewide Travel Policies and Regulations.
• Describe how to have effective customer service and provide examples from your work experience.
• What does being a leader mean to you?
