Lead Line Cook is responsible for executing all aspects of the line. This position works closely with kitchen management to maintain an efficient, organized, and positive kitchen environment. This role requires advanced culinary skills, full station proficiency, and the ability to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency across all stations. This position acts as a key support to kitchen leadership and helps drive standards, training, and execution.
Responsibilities:
· Prep and prepare ingredients including washing, chopping, portioning, and storing food items.
· Execute all stations including sauté, fryer, broiler, grill, pizza, pantry, and breakfast/egg station.
· Execute dishes according to established recipes, portioning, and presentation standards; always maintaining consistency.
· Lead the line during service, ensuring smooth ticket flow, communication, and timing.
· Works efficiently during high-volume service while maintaining quality and consistency.
· Assist with daily prep planning, station assignments, and shift readiness.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area in compliance with health and safety regulations.
· Follow proper food handling, storage, and labeling procedures.
· Assist with inventory management, ordering, and product rotation.
· Identify and resolve issues quickly during service (equipment, product, or execution).
· Operate basic kitchen equipment safely.
· Opening and closing procedures of kitchen. Assist with station setup and breakdown.
· Support training and mentoring of entry level cooks when needed.
· Performs all other duties as assigned
Requirements:
· 3-5 years full-service restaurant experience
· Proven experience working all stations on the line with strong technical proficiency
· Advanced understanding of cooking techniques, timing, and kitchen workflow
· Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, employees and customers
· Solid knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices.
· Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
· Dependable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
· Flexible changing working hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
· Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds
· Ability to stand for extended periods
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
