L&R Transport in Kuna, Idaho is looking for hardworking, experienced Class A CDL Truck Drivers with vac tanker experience, willing to do 2-3 interstate loads a week. Work week will be supplemented with local work, including vac tanker, flatbed, dry van, end/side dump, and dump truck. HAZXMAT credential and TWIC card are preferred.
We provide full time hours and some OT hours, bi-weekly pay and great benefits.
Truck Driver Major Duties:
- Operate equipment safely to and from locations
- Complete required paperwork for each job including pre & post trip inspections, work orders, ELD logbook & time sheets
- Flexibility to work outside of normal work schedule as needed to maintain customer satisfaction
- Perform yard duties as assigned
- Communication Skills
- Customer Service - you will work with clients & will represent The L&R Group. We strive for professionalism, honesty and integrity.
- Ability to Follow Instructions
- OUT OF STATE TRAVEL REQUIRED - current routes required 1 to 2 nights a week, typically home on weekends.
- MUST BE willing to take ER calls after hours and on weekends.
- MUST BE ABLE TO PASS DRUG & BACKGROUND CHECKS
Truck Driver Requirements:
- At least 2 years CDL Truck Driving experience
- Valid Class A commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements (TANKER, HAZMAT)
- Maintain a current medical card
- Comply with applicable DOT rules and regulations
- Obtain TWIC card (if needed)
- Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
Truck Driver Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift and position equipment weighing 75 lbs
- Able to sit long periods while driving
- Able to stand long periods while cargo is being loaded and unloaded
- Able to climb in and out of truck
