Help Wanted – Kitchen Assistant (Winter Haven, FL)
A small, busy restaurant in Winter Haven is seeking a reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our team. This position is primarily for evening shifts, typically between 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM, part-time positions are available.
Position Overview:
The Kitchen Assistant will support daily kitchen operations, including dishwashing, cleaning, and basic food preparation. Experience is preferred but not required—we’re willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with basic food prep, including washing, peeling, and cutting ingredients
- Wash dishes, utensils, and cookware promptly and thoroughly
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, equipment, and floors
- Take out trash and assist with proper waste disposal and recycling
- Organize and restock kitchen and storage supplies
- Support cooks during busy hours with prep, plating, and cleanup
- Follow all food safety and hygiene standards
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
- Perform additional tasks as needed to keep the kitchen running smoothly
