Job Summary
I am seeking a motivated and responsible Driver to join our NEMT transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of vehicles, including wheelchair vans, cars and suvs, to ensure safe and timely transport for our clients. Your great communication skills, perfect driving record, and excellent time management skills will be vital in maintaining our high standards of service. This position offers an engaging opportunity to contribute to individuals daily life experiences.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a variety of vehicles including, wheelchair vans, cars, and suvs
- Navigate using GPS systems to ensure efficient and timely drop off and pick up of clients
- Load and unload clients with proper techniques and safety equipment
- Excellent Time management skills
- Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues promptly to ensure safety standards are met.
- Manage documentation related to drop off and pick up times accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain professional conduct while delivering exceptional customer service during pickups and drop-offs at various locations.
Experience
- 5 years driving with being comfortable driving in the city
- knowledge of wheelchairs a plus but not mandatory
- Clean driving record
- Ability to operate GPS navigation systems effectively for route planning and adjustments on the go.
- some knowledge of different disabilities including but not limited too: down syndrome, autism, dementia,
- Valid driver’s license .
