Duties
- Set up, operate, and monitor vacuum forming machines to produce consistent, high-quality plastic parts
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery, including robotic systems and press brake machines, to ensure optimal performance
- Perform quality inspections using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other measurement instruments to verify dimensional accuracy
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues with industrial equipment and implement engineering solutions promptly to minimize downtime
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and materials handling equipment, ensuring proper storage and movement of plastics and raw materials
- Assist in fabrication processes involving plastics blow molding, injection molding, extrusion, and other plastics production techniques
- Maintain detailed documentation of production metrics, quality checks, and machine maintenance logs following safety protocols
Experience
- Proven experience operating manufacturing machinery such as CNC lathes, CNC machines, or robotic systems in a plastics or related industry
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment and perform basic repairs
- Familiarity with plastics fabrication processes including blow molding, injection molding, extrusion, and vacuum forming
- Experience with quality control procedures involving dimensional measurements and precision measurement instruments like micrometers and calipers
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, engineering troubleshooting guides, and safety protocols effectively
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is a plus
- Basic math skills for measurement calculations and process adjustments are essential
