Position: Lead Dental Assistant

Position Overview
Falcon Pediatric Dentistry is seeking an experienced, motivated, and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our growing pediatric dental team. This leadership role combines clinical excellence with team development, helping ensure exceptional patient care, efficient clinical operations, and a positive work environment.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, confident in pediatric dentistry, and passionate about mentoring team members while delivering outstanding patient experiences.
Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership
- Lead and support dental assistants in daily clinical operations.
- Ensure treatment rooms are prepared, stocked, and operating efficiently.
- Assist doctors during restorative, surgical, sedation, and emergency procedures.
- Maintain high standards of infection control and OSHA compliance.
- Monitor clinical workflows to maximize efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of clinical supplies.
Team Development
- Train and onboard new dental assistants.
- Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to team members.
- Help maintain clinical protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive office culture.
- Collaborate with doctors and office leadership to identify opportunities for improvement.
Patient Care
- Create a welcoming and positive experience for children and families.
- Obtain radiographs and diagnostic records as needed.
- Provide patient and parent education regarding treatment and home care.
- Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant credentials required according to Colorado regulations.
- Pediatric dental experience strongly preferred.
- CPR certification required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to remain calm and positive in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience training or supervising team members is a plus.
