Located in Macedon, NY close to Monroe County line, our small family business is looking for help in our Molded Rubber Divison--part-time, full-time, temporary or temp to perm. Must be at least 18 years of age. Full time work week is Monday through Thursday 6:30 am to 5:00 pm. Overtime opportunities may be available on Fridays, no weekends. 30 minute lunch break and two 20 minute breaks at 10 am and 3 pm .
Position is responsible for the setup, manufacture and quality inspection of formed rubber parts using heated hydraulic presses.
Operate presses utilizing standard operating procedures.
Prep raw materials as per job card.
Cut and weigh raw rubber blanks within parameters provided.
Load and unload molds manually.
Trim off excess flashing on parts as needed.
Clean work area, presses and associated equipment.
Inspect first piece and in process parts to ensure conformance to drawings, using calipers and other precision measuring equipment.
Monitor temperature and pressure on presses.
Perform machine checks as needed, including lubrication, cleaning and inspection of wear on tooling.
Basic math skills for weighing and measuring and counting final product in preparation for shipment.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds. This is a manufacturing environment. There will be exposure to noise, sharp metal edges, moving equipment and presses and tooling are heated to 350F.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
