Responsibilities
- Assist in managing all aspects of restaurant operations, including staffing, scheduling, and ensuring smooth shift transitions.
- Lead and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking processes, and food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations and company standards.
- Utilize POS systems such as Square POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
- Control inventory levels through regular stock checks, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability.
- Train new staff on food safety practices, customer service protocols, and operational procedures to foster skill development.
- Conduct staff performance evaluations, assist with interviewing candidates, and support staff training & development initiatives.
- Manage shift operations efficiently by supervising kitchen activities, overseeing food production, and ensuring timely service delivery.
- Analyze profit and loss reports to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost reduction strategies.
- Uphold food safety standards by implementing proper sanitation practices and ensuring compliance with health regulations across all restaurant areas.
Skills
- Proven experience in quick service & fast food restaurant management or casual dining environments with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety management.
- Expertise in POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for sales processing and cash handling.
- Excellent team management skills with experience in staff training, supervising teams, and conducting interviews.
- Ability to oversee inventory control processes including ordering, stock rotation, and waste reduction.
- Demonstrated leadership in hospitality management with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Experience managing kitchen operations, food production, catering services or banquet functions is highly desirable.
- Competence in budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and implementing cost-effective solutions.
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate between front-of-house and kitchen teams.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols including proper handling procedures and sanitation standards.
