Job DescriptionTitle: Medical Assistant
Location: Los Angeles, CA 90048
Duration: 13 weeks (with possible extensions)
Experience: 1 years working as MA in outpatient clinic.
Certifications: BLS, Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from DAPIP-accredited program
Pay Rate (Hourly): $26 - $30/hour
Shift: Day 5x8-Hour
Responsibilities
- Greet patients, take appropriate vital signs, review current meds, and record in medical record
- Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practice
- Set up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needs
- Clean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines
- Administer immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by provider
- Draw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by provider
Requirements & Experience
- Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program
- Experience with CS-Link/Epic
