Bachelor's degree in Renewable Energy, environmental or climate sciences, engineering, planning, public policy, economics, or business, or related area
Masters a plus but not required
Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Expert proficiency in Excel highly preferred
3-5 years of experience in the areas of renewable energy, climate change mitigation, carbon capture, or sustainable building project execution preferred
PMP certification desired but not required
Experience working with the U.S. Department of Navy, or Department of Defense preferred
Experience working with public sector climate, resilience, or renewable energy project development and execution desired
Conducts business case and financial analysis for client's renewable/resilient energy related portfolio, including the creation of detailed pro-forma and financial models
Lead qualitative and/or quantitative analysis including policy cost analysis, feasibility assessments, surveys, and interviews, focused on technical, policy, and/or financial implications of renewable energy and climate policies and technologies
Construct, manipulate, and continuously modify Excel-based models to calculate returns including IRR, NPV, and cash returns.
Must have knowledge of third-party finance and assist with client advisory on energy project execution strategies that utilize third-party finance
Assist client with planning and policy issues
Willingness to learn, demonstrate, and apply better methods of supporting the clients in reaching their renewable energy/ climate goals
Provides support consistent with all aspects of determining project feasibility.
Provide project and program communications support. Assist in preparing briefings, participate in meetings and providing support for databases; establish, synthesize, and maintain accurate project record keeping for project continuity
Support client in understanding the public policy related to energy resilience and climate related directives and organizational innovation initiatives
Manage and deliver projects that support government energy policies and renewable/resilient energy development. Involves ensuring high quality client deliverables in all activities, managing the work of project teams as assigned, monitoring project schedules, budgets, and scopes against plan.
Conduct research and analyses on renewable energy and climate policy and strategy.
Foster successful, productive, and sustained client relationships.
