Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality baked goods, including breads, buns, and desserts
- Prep food with precision and attention to detail to meet customer expectations
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, mixing, measuring ingredients, and assembling dishes in a fast-paced environment
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, knives, and other culinary tools
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace by following food safety protocols and sanitation standards throughout all stages of food handling
- Support high-volume production processes while ensuring consistency in taste, appearance, and quality of baked goods
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders while providing excellent customer service when interacting with clients or guests
Qualifications
- Must have experience in food production, baking, pastry preparation or as a prep chef within a commercial kitchen or bakery setting.
- Skilled in operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently with excellent knife skills and food handling techniques
- Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency in baked goods and desserts
- Experience working in high-volume production environments such as catering or restaurant kitchens is highly desirable
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing inventory effectively
- Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to hygiene standards.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with a positive attitude toward teamwork and customer service
- Culinary experience that demonstrates proficiency in food preparation, cake decorating, pastry arts, or related fields is preferred
