Experienced Production Welder/Pipefitter –2nd Shift
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Pipefitter/Welder to join our team in a production weld shop environment. This is a fast-paced position requiring precision, efficiency, and the ability to meet production deadlines without sacrificing quality. The ideal candidate has strong experience in both pipefitting and welding, can read blueprints, and thrives in a high-output setting. Must be comfortable welding to UA71 standards
Details:
- 2nd shift
- Production welding environment ; fast paced
- Weld test required
- Four 10 hr shifts Monday-Thursday 6pm-4:30am
- Background & Drug Test will be required before first day
- Provide proper employment identification before first day
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and work orders
- Measure, cut, thread, and fit pipe to exact specifications
- Perform production-level welding using TIG, MIG, and Stick processes
- Complete consistent, high-quality welds that meet code and shop standards
- Work efficiently to meet daily/weekly production goals
- Assemble piping systems in a shop-based fabrication setting
- Inspect finished welds for quality, accuracy, and defects
- Maintain tools, welding equipment, and a clean workspace
- Follow all safety procedures and shop protocols
Qualifications
- Proficient in 2G welding
- Proficient in 5G welding
- Experience with MIG root + Pulse MIG cap
- Comfortable working with overhead cranes
- 3+ years of experience as a pipefitter/welder (shop experience preferred)
- Strong TIG welding experience on pipe (stainless and carbon steel)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-production environment
- Proficient in reading blueprints and ISO drawings
- Experience with repetitive welds while maintaining consistency and quality
- Knowledge of welding codes (ASME, AWS, etc.)
- Ability to pass welding tests (6G or position-specific tests if required)
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detailPhysical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
- Stand and work for extended periods in a shop environment
- Perform repetitive tasks while maintaining precision
