New York–based casual lifestyle brand and private label company seeking a creative, detail-oriented Technical Designer to join our team, specializing in Girls, Junior, and Teens categories. You'll work closely with Design, Sales, and Production to develop and execute seasonal apparel lines from concept through final product.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Design team on authentic designs, from research and concept presentations through final product
- Create technical drawings and tech packs with specifications for production
- Refine fit, fabrication, and construction details across the line
- Build seasonal CAD presentations and print designs
- Maintain assortment boards, fabric and color libraries, design archives, and inspiration boards
- Partner with Sales and Production to ensure designs translate accurately to production
- Support special projects as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design
- 3–5 years of experience as a designer, with knowledge of cut-and-sew knits and wovens
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop and Microsoft Office
- Branded and private label experience in Girls, Junior, Teens, and Missy required
- Strong understanding of fit and garment construction
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills; thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously; highly detail-oriented and creative
- Based in our NYC office; on-site five days per week
Wage: 65k-80k (DOE)
